1. Technical Mastery Without Intimidation
Through a selected collection of live videos, webinars and video sessions designed to teach you the basics in veneering and marquetry.
The emphasis is on learning marquetry through the process of experimentation and exploration of the techniques used in fine marquetry by using a knife.
You will be creating your own art work, of which none will be the same, everyone's unique style will be able to shine through.
As a beginner, a newcomer to marquetry, this course will give you the freedom to learn and get to grips with the complexities of marquetry but at your own pace, low-stress experimentation with maximum results.
2. Wood have learned
Through playful and open sessions, you’ll learn what the wood has to teach you, learning the difference between the grain direction and how it can affect your knife cut, your quality and the overall effects it has on your art.
You’ll be able to understand its strengths, its weaknesses and even the little traps that await for you to fall into. With some simple instructions, you’ll get the professional tips and tricks that will eliminate all those pesky, annoying mistakes you're very likely to make.
You will gain a better understanding of the woods characteristics and veneer selection you make.
3. Under Pressure?
Learn how to make and use some very simple bits of equipment and how you can correctly lay and press your veneer art piece. Understand the basic steps from a master veneerer, how to use the correct glues and don't mess up when finally pressing your work.
 Learn the professional way and how to pace yourself so you don’t rush or ruin your marquetry. Understand how you can condition, control and number your veneers, so the marquetry you're making maintains its quality, consistency and so the things you have learned can continue to run through the rest of your artwork. You will be able to finish it and repeat it..!
