I began as an apprentice, drawn to the artistic side of cabinet making and furniture, loving the craft and the beauty in detail. That path led me to earn an LCGI from the City and Guilds of London in furniture making, and later a prestigious BA (Honours) in Furniture Design and Making at High Wycombe University in the Royal County of Buckinghamshire.

But learning didn’t stop in the workshop. I became a teacher, sharing my craft with others, including learners with certain mental challenges and personal obstacles.

I found that the act of helping guide someone else’s hands is its own kind of art.

Marquetry became more than just an extra traditional technique to me. It became a way of feeling, seeing, slowing down, and connecting to people who had the same passion. Now I help others. Makers, dreamers, and total beginners step into this world with confidence and joy.

Through self-paced learning, live sessions, and one-to-one mentoring, I offer not just instruction but insight. This world is about precision, yes, but also visual poetry, learning to understand the balance of wood, its colours, its texture, and the beauty within the grain itself.

My specialty? Teaching marquetry as both a craft and a language of woodwork. I blend deep technical skill with an intuitive, artistic approach to help makers bring their ideas to life, learn how to express themselves, refine their skills and enjoy through simple practices.
